16 Jahre war Bischof Gebhard Fürst der Geistliche Berater des Zentralkomitee der deutschen Katholiken (ZdK). Als Dankeschön bekam er ein ganz besonderes Geschenk: Eine Holzbank vor der Wurmlinger Kapelle am Martinsweg. Gestaltet und gefertigt wurde diese Bank von der Schreinerei Michael Hurm.
